Private Bridal Appointment – Enjoy a 1 hour private fitting at our Daughters of Simone HQ in Fresno’s creative Tower District neighborhood. Bring up to 4 guests, or come solo. 


V.I.B. (very important bride) Package – $150: A great gift for your bride to be! Make it an afternoon out for the whole crew. Includes 2 ice cold bottles of Champagne + plus a stunning spread of appetizers to graze on. Your bride’s appointment will also be extended by 30 minutes (1.5 hours total) so you can enjoy the afternoon without the rush. Plus you are allowed increase your cheering party and bring up to 6 guests (up from our usual 4).

WHO IS WELCOME AT THE DOS HQ? Your gender, your gods, your sex life, your skin color, or your big shot uncle don’t make a difference here. Daughters of Simone is a progressive and open minded meritocracy. All are welcome… come as you are : )

 

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT? 

Please pre-select your top 8 favorite gowns from our Collections page beforehand, and email them to us, so that we can lay them out for your arrival. We also suggest bringing nude seamless underwear, shoes a similar height to those you plan on wearing on the big day and a variety of low-back, stick-on & strapless bras. Bonus points for bringing any accessories you might wear to see the full picture. (No fresh spray tans, please.)

 

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY APPOINTMENT? A DOS stylist will contact you prior to your appointment to find out your style preferences and get to know you a little. On the day of your fitting you will be welcomed into the space with a glass of Champagne (we have non-alcoholic options too!) and the 5-8 DOS gowns and/or veils of your choice will be laid out in preparation for your arrival. If a gown is chosen, and a purchase is made, we will take your measurements and order the closest dress size to be made.  

 

WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE FOR DOS GOWNS? Daughters of Simone gowns range from $2,000 to $3,300.

 

WHAT TRY-ON SIZES DO YOU CARRY? Our in-store try on samples largely range from medium-xl. However, we also carry a nice sized selection of gowns up to 5xl (please email us in advance to verify our current availability of 5XL gowns). Additionally, we have lots of creative ways to clip and structure gowns for for that perfect fit no matter the size -- so don't stress. DOS prides itself on being size inclusive and body positive. If you have any questions about our in-house sample sizes or would like to request specific sizes and/or styles please email us at doshq@daughtersofsimone.com. We'd be happy to walk you through it.

 

CAN I BRING GUESTS? Yes. You may bring up to 4 guests with you to your private bridal appointment (5 total including the bride). For larger groups, see our VIB option.  

 

HOW LONG IS MY APPOINTMENT? A typical appointment is 60 minutes, our VIB appointments are 1 hour & 30 minutes.

 

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO PURCHASE MY DRESS? We recommend purchasing our made to order gowns 4-6 months in advance of your wedding date. This is the ideal, however, not the absolute. Keep in mind, our gowns take 12-15 weeks to reach your door step (you are also welcome to pick it up at the HQ). We do offer rush orders, and have a limited selection of Sample Sale gowns on hand that can be tried on and shipped immediately.

 

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS? Yes. We offer a 2 part payment plan for made to order gowns. The order is placed with 50% of the total upfront, and pay the remaining balance in 60 days. 

 

IF I SAY YES TO A GOWN TODAY, HOW LONG WILL MY GOWN TAKE TO ARRIVE? DOS gowns take 12-15 weeks to arrive to you once your order is placed.

 

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT? Yes, please book a private appointment in advance or call us to inquire about last minute availability (559) 343-3332. Thursday is the only day that we welcome walk ins. 

 

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM GOWNS? The short answer is no. But we do offer a wide range of custom options that can be applied to most of our collection gowns, such as; train or no train, added length, cap sleeves/long sleeves, more coverage, etc. Please feel free to share your questions or curiosities with your DOS stylist and we'll see what we can accommodate.

 

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL? Please be courteous of our time. You may cancel your appointment online up to 7 days in advance. For last minute cancellations, please call 24 hours in advance. Times are limited and we have brides hoping to get in. No shows and cancellations with less than 24 hour notice are subject to a fee. VIBs cancelled with less than 7 days notice will not be refunded.  

 

WHAT ABOUT ALTERATIONS? Alterations are a separate cost from your DOS gown purchase. We do not have an in-house seamstress but have a list of seamstresses we can recommend to you who have worked with our gowns/brides in the past. (Please note that DOS does not receive a "kick back" should you choose to work with our recommended list nor are they employed through DOS.) You are, of course, also welcome to choose your own seamstress for alterations as well. 

 

CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE MY GOWN OR PURCHASE? Because all DOS gowns and accessories are either made to order or small batch, all are final sale. We do not accept returns or exchanges.
