DOS now does Fittings in San Francisco & Fresno!
Q. When should I schedule my fitting?
A. We advise our brides to schedule their fitting at least 5 days in advance. This measure is taken so that we can properly set you up with the dresses of your choice from our inventory, as well us give us enough time to pull other dress options that coincide with your measurements.
Q. How long are appointment times?
A. We like to give our brides a full hour so that that you can take your time and sip champagne all the while! Please arrive promptly so you can use this hour to it’s full advantage and try on as many gowns as you please.
Q. I’m interested in one of your vintage gowns, how should I prepare for my appointment?
A. Please take your measurements (waist, bust, and hips), and see where they align with those vintage gowns you’ve been eying . From there let us know which vintage gowns you’d like to try on ahead of time so we can pull them from our inventory for your fitting. This measure it taken so that you know which gowns will work best with your size, since all of our vintage gowns range in their individual sizes.
Q. What should I wear to my fitting, and do I need to bring anything?
A. Heels relative to the height you plan on wearing on your wedding day are great in order to get the complete picture while dress shopping, as well as undergarments such as strapless bras, nude underwear, and those magic Spanx. We also encourage our brides to take a little extra time getting dolled up before their fitting (for that goose-bump feeling seeing themselves in “the one”!).
Q. Can I bring someone?
A. Our fitting room can accommodate up to 4 people (including the bride). Many of our brides bring their mothers, sisters, cousins, best-friends etc.. (It’s always great to have a cheering party!) Keep in mind though, that sometimes the more people you bring in the more opinions you will receive. In which case, be sure to choose your favorites with care 
Q. Where are the fittings?
A. We currently hold fittings in both our Lower Haight space in San Francisco & our space in Fresno, CA. We will send you additional information leading up to your fitting date.
Q. Will I need alterations?
A. It’s fairly standard in the wedding dress world to have your dress altered, after purchasing, for that perfect fit. We do not offer this service in-house, but highly recommend that you take your dress to a seamstress who specializes in bridal if you wish to have it altered.
Lastly, we want your fitting to be as special and as full of fun as we can make it. So don’t be shy if we ask you if there are any tunes in-particularly that you would like played during your fitting. And we always provide complimentary champagne to sip on for you and your favorite gals!
